The project did not begin with a plan to make music. It began with a need to write.

Not everything needs to be explained.
I wrote the lyrics during a period when life felt darker than usual. More than anything, writing gave difficult emotions somewhere to go when they were hard to express in other ways.
I prefer to keep what lay behind them private. To me, that is also part of the point: the words can stand on their own without the whole story behind them being made public.

Once the lyrics were written, I continued working with digital tools until they took on a musical form.
